AION 2 · GLOBAL / TW
Aion 2 map: how to find a monster, resource and plan a route
Choose Global or TW, select a location and keep the marker categories you need. Three examples cover a Global monster, an individual Global gathering material and a TW resource marker, followed by routes and progress storage.
Region and available locations
First choose a game region in the top navigation, then a location above the map. Global and TW use separate marker datasets. Matching location names do not imply matching coordinates, object availability or rewards.
| Dataset | Available maps | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Global | Verteron, Altgard, Chaotic Lower Reshanta | Placements and districts from client 26077854; coverage is partial. Map images from 25650019 are not verified against the current build. |
| TW | Verteron and Altgard with markers; six additional terrain maps | Terrain availability does not imply marker coverage. |
Global example: monster search
Example: Tolbas Kuru Worker, ID 2100180, level 26, Verteron. The Global dataset contains 45 associated client placements. This counts placement records, not simultaneously active monsters.
- Open the example link. Its parameters select Global, Verteron and the monster ID.
- To find it manually, open Monsters and enter 2100180 in search. Click the result with that ID: the map zooms to its placements. Other enabled marker categories may remain visible.
- Open the monster record from the result to check its data. Area or rank filters can hide placements; clear those restrictions if necessary.
Global example: ore and gemstones
To find Ruby, Diamond, Sapphire and Orichalcum, choose Global and Verteron. This example uses client 26077854 placements. Individual materials can be selected inside the gemstone and ore groups.
- Open Filters and choose Hide all to start with an empty map. Expand Resources, then the gemstone group, and select only Ruby.
- For Diamond or Sapphire, turn Ruby off and select the material you need. All selects the entire gemstone group. Orichalcum belongs to the ore group.
- Narrow the results with search and district filters. Search does not enable disabled materials: with only Ruby selected, searching for Diamond returns no results. Clear search to restore your selected markers.
| Material | Filter group | Client records |
|---|---|---|
| Ruby | Gemstones | 196 |
| Diamond | Gemstones | 192 |
| Sapphire | Gemstones | 192 |
| Orichalcum | Ore | 546 |
Material counts refer to client placements in this location, not nodes available right now. The counter below the map reflects search and filters. Material selections are saved in the browser separately for each Global location.
TW example: a resource marker
Open the Odyle marker in TW Verteron, Southern Altamia Highland. The client record lists gathering skill 1. The link selects this specific marker, opens its map details and focuses its position.
- Check TW and the district in the details. Several markers can share a resource name.
- To find similar markers, close the details, open Filters and keep the Odyle category. TW also lets you switch from the map to the object list.
- Use Copy point link in the details to share this exact placement. The link selects the marker; it does not transfer your personal progress.
This placement comes from the TW client and requires in-game verification. The listed gathering skill does not confirm that the resource is available now. Do not reuse it as a Global coordinate.
To compare gathering areas, coordinates, materials and recipes, open the resource overviews: Yggdrasil in TW Verteron and Odyle in TW Verteron. Find other resources and individual placements in the TW resource directory.
Filters and map zoom
Filters restrict visible categories and districts. Searching by ID distinguishes monsters with identical names. The Monsters tab also offers type and level range filters. Clear the search to see all matching objects again.
Numbered buttons group nearby objects at the current zoom. Click a group to zoom in or expand it; its number is not a count of one monster species. Map overview restores the full-map view.
Routes and progress
In a regular Global marker’s details, use Add to route; on TW, use Route from here. Then open Route above the map. Check stop order and remove unwanted stops. Lines connect selected markers; they do not verify traversability, height changes, flights or travel time.
Found markers and Hide found help track your own checklist. Global progress is stored in this device’s browser separately from TW. The Global Progress panel can download a backup. Clearing browser data can erase local marks; do not assume automatic transfer between devices.
TW routes and progress belong to the selected workspace character. Check the active character before saving; server features depend on sign-in. Saving a route and creating its public link are separate actions.
If a marker is missing
Why does a monster result have no placement action?
NPC records and map placements have different coverage. A record can exist without coordinates in the available maps. Check the record and dataset coverage; missing coordinates do not prove that the monster is absent from the game.
What should I check if the map is empty?
Check region and location, clear search and district, enable the needed categories and disable Hide found. Use Retry after a load error. Terrain-only maps may not have markers yet.
