Aion 2 crafting: how to calculate materials and costs
Prepare a missing-material list for your target output. Learn about recipe output, rounded attempt counts, owned stock and prices using an actual Global recipe, while keeping calculated attempts separate from guaranteed crafting success.
Choose a region and recipe
Choose Global or TW, then find a recipe by name. Check its profession, race and requirements in the recipe record. Use materials from the same region: Global and TW datasets are separate.
A calculation needs a visible recipe with components and valid output. Hidden or combo Global recipes lack a complete confirmed material list, so the calculator does not perform its usual material calculation for them.
Quantity, output and attempts
Enter the desired finished-product quantity in Target quantity. Attempts equal the requested quantity divided by recipe output, rounded up. Material consumption uses a whole number of attempts.
If one successful attempt yields three products, requesting seven uses three attempts and shows a base output of nine. This is nominal output for successful attempts: success and combo are not guaranteed, and failed-attempt material refunds are not subtracted.
Spiritstone Powder example
Use the visible Global Spiritstone Powder recipe #315016006. It yields 3 units per attempt and requires one Spiritstone. The link opens this recipe with quantity 7; enter owned stock and prices in the next step.

Owned stock and entered prices
- In the Spiritstone row, enter 1 in Owned. The required amount remains three, while the missing amount decreases to two.
- Enter 100 in Unit price. The two missing Spiritstones now have an entered-price material cost of 200.
- Change Target quantity from 7 to 6. This uses two attempts and two Spiritstones, one of which you own. One is missing and costs 100 at the entered unit price.
100 is a sample exercise value, not an auction price. The calculator uses your entries and does not retrieve live market quotes. An empty price field leaves the cost incomplete. Entering zero explicitly sets a zero unit price.
For the original 7 products with one Spiritstone owned: required 3, missing 2, material cost 200. This recipe’s catalog fee is zero.
Crafting chains and fees
For a complex recipe, the calculator can expand intermediate crafting. It consumes your owned stock first, then calculates remaining batches and raw materials. Choose a suitable recipe when a component has multiple different formulas. Buy keeps that component in the material list.
Prices apply to materials at the end of the expanded chain. Buying a finished intermediate component and crafting it from raw materials are different scenarios. Root and intermediate recipe fees are shown separately by currency; remote crafting may add a fee specified by the recipe.
Read warnings about ambiguous, hidden and enhanced components. An incomplete chain does not establish a complete cost.
Find missing gathering materials: a TW example
For the TW example, open Yggdrasil Wood recipe #215016007, race: Elyos. It yields 1 unit per attempt. Requesting 5 products uses 5 attempts.
- Open the calculator example and check TW region and the recipe race.
- In the Yggdrasil Log row, enter 3 in Owned. Leave the second ingredient stock at zero. The calculation should then match the table.

To find sources for the 7 missing logs, open Yggdrasil areas and coordinates in TW Verteron. Choose an area in the overview and open it on the map. For other resources, use the TW resource directory.
Sandpaper is a separate recipe ingredient. It is not listed among Yggdrasil materials; check its item record and available source relationships separately.

Common questions
Why is output greater than my requested quantity?
Attempts are rounded up. With output three and requested quantity seven, the plan uses three attempts and nominal output nine.
Can I find Global materials on the TW map?
Global material coordinates are not confirmed, and the TW map is not connected to a Global calculation. Use available source links for your own region.
