Aion 2 gear: how to compare items and enhancement
Check which stats change when you replace an item. Explore the comparison baseline, requirements and enhancement using two actual Global greatswords, then open your selected item in a Gladiator build.
Region and requirements
Choose Global or TW before finding items. Use one dataset throughout the build: matching names do not guarantee matching stats. The example below uses Global.
Check the slot and weapon type, race and required character level. Item level is a separate value. The comparison tool warns about different requirements; being able to compare items does not establish that your character can equip all of them.
Base item and differences
Add up to three items. The first becomes the base: other item deltas are calculated as candidate minus base. A positive number means a higher value for that stat; a negative number means a lower value. Set as base changes the reference item.
A dash means the stat is absent from the record, rather than a confirmed zero. Do not choose an item solely by the color of a delta: each stat’s importance depends on your goal, and the comparison tool does not calculate combat performance.
Two-greatsword example
Compare two items at +0. Both are Global greatswords requiring character level 45. The table shows item level and catalog minimum and maximum attack values.
| Stat | Rupture Claymore | Aulamus Greatsword | Delta |
|---|---|---|---|
| Item level | 54 | 70 | +16 |
| Min Attack | 235 | 305 | +70 |
| Max Attack | 317 | 413 | +96 |
- Check that Rupture Claymore is the base item. Aulamus Greatsword has +70 minimum attack and +96 maximum attack relative to it.
- Set Aulamus Greatsword as the base. The same Rupture Claymore differences become negative. Restore the original base.
This is a catalog exercise. Higher listed attack does not establish superior DPS, availability or acquisition cost.
Include enhancement
Set enhancement for each item separately. The tool offers levels with an exact dataset curve that do not exceed the item’s enhancement limit. If a curve is missing, do not substitute an estimated bonus.
In the example, change Rupture Claymore from +0 to +1 while leaving Aulamus Greatsword at +0. Base minimum attack changes from 235 to 241 and maximum attack from 317 to 323. The second item deltas become +64 and +90. Base item level changes from 54 to 55.
Random properties are not calculated here. To decide on a replacement, consider your actual item properties and the rest of your character setup.
Move to a character build
Open your chosen item in the gear planner. The links below specify a level 45 Global Gladiator with the remaining slots empty. Add your gear, skills and other settings, then review the resulting stats.
Open both variants in separate tabs and keep the class, level and other settings identical. Differences then relate to the item replacement. Set enhancement in the planner separately: an item link does not carry the comparison tool’s enhancement setting.
Common questions
Why is enhancement unavailable?
The dataset may lack an exact enhancement curve, or the requested level may exceed the item limit. Compare +0 values and check the item record; missing data does not establish a zero bonus.
Where can I check acquisition sources?
Open the source section in the comparison tool or item record. It shows available recipe, NPC and other record links. A missing link does not establish that the item cannot be obtained; drop chances are not confirmed here.
